Welcome!

In the Student Ministry, we strive to help your kids learn what it means to live like Jesus wherever they are. Our hope is that as your kids journey through Jr. High and High School, they will develop and harness a curious attitude that seeks God with awe and wonder. Being curious has to be held in tension with critical thinking, so students can be curious discerners. Both of these characteristics will help them become Kingdom Workers, who use their gifts and passions to join God in His plan to redeem the world.

PROGRAMS

The Gathering

Life to Bible

Our High School Youth Group meets Sunday Nights 6:30-8:00 p.m. during the school year. We want to help your High School Student become a critical thinker and someone who lives out their faith because they want to. Our teaching is focused on what High Schoolers experience day in and day out and then look to God’s word for direction and wisdom in how we should live. We work through topics such as: identity, sexuality, relationships, wise decision-making, developing an attitude of a curious learner, and developing habits of a life-longer learner.

Sunday School

Bible to Life

Sunday School exists to help High School Students grow in their faith by studying theology, worldviews, Bible Study skills, and to deepen their understanding of the Story found in the Bible. They are challenged and encouraged to delve deeper into the Scriptures and apply the truth to their everyday lives. We want them to wrestle with deep content with adults who can help them develop and practice critical thinking skills. We have two classes, 9th-10th Grade, and 11th-12th Grade.

EVENTS

We have many events throughout the year, such as Fiasco, Post, Retreats, CIY MOVE and Mission Trips. Click here for more information about upcoming events.

Fuel
Life to Bible

Our Jr. High Youth Group meets Wednesday nights 6:30-8:00 p.m. during the school year. Fuel is fuel for your student’s everyday life. We begin with where a Jr. Higher is (their life circumstances) and walk that to the Bible to see what God has to say about their life. Our teaching is focused on who is God, identity, relationships/sexuality, purpose, and many other topics that Jr. Highers deal with. 5th Graders have their own teaching time separate from the 6ht-8th Graders.

Sunday School
Bible to Life

Sunday School exists to help our students learn about the Bible. They will learn the overall theme of the Story: Creation, Fall, and Redemption. Our students not only learn lessons from the Bible, but they also are taught how to study the Bible on their own. They are encouraged to delve deeper into the Scriptures and apply these lessons to their everyday lives. We have three classes, 5th Grade, 6th-7th Grade, and 8th Grade.

summer bible Study

Greenhouse

Greenhouse meets Wednesday Nights 6:30-8:00 p.m. throughout the year. During the school year, we study leadership development and critical thinking/worldview training. We also plan High School events and The Gathering. During the summer, we study one book of the Bible and seek to understand the author’s intended meaning and how the original audience interpreted it as best as we can. We spend the whole summer learning about the author, audience, the message, and what it has to do in a High School Student.

D.I.R.T.

Over the summer, we study one book of the Bible and seek to understand the author’s intended meaning and how the original audience interpreted it as best as we can. We spend the whole summer learning about the author, audience, the message, and what it has to do in a Jr. Higher’s life. We encourage the students to use the tools that they have learned in Sunday School to help them question and learn how to help each other learn.
